AdSenseLog: Options

You can configure AdSenseLog using the preferences form. The form has several sections, and you choose them using the buttons at the top: AdSense, General, Alerts, E-Mail, SMS and Proxy.

AdSense Login:

  • Enter your Adsense login name and password. The password is kept encrypted on your local computer, and is never transmitted to anyone beside Google.
  • You must also choose the AdSense display language in your account. AdSenseLog needs this information to correctly parse the reports.
  • You can choose whether to also receive Channel data.
  • You can choose your hour difference, with regard to Google's servers. This is useful because then AdSenseLog will use Google server time, which means that a 'new day will pass' together with new day statistics at the servers. If you are in Europe, for example, the difference is around -10 hours. In the east-coast of the US, it is about -5 hours.

General section

Misc:

  • You can have AdSenseLog run when windows starts.
  • AdSenseLog can update the latest stats when starts.
  • AdSenseLog asks you whether to hide in the tray, when you exit. You can disable this feature.
  • You choose to highlight the revenue column in tables. The revenue will then be displayed with a bold font.
  • For easy reading of tables, you can choose to have the week's first day to be highlighted. On Channel tables, this option will highlight the first channel in each period.
  • You can choose to have the summary view display extra statistics (EPC/CTR/eCPM).
  • You can have the '$' sign be at the right or at the left of the sum, in reports.
  • You can have all projections and average disregard the current day (Because usually this makes the statistics not accurate).
  • Choose your week's starting day.

How to register with Clickatell SMS gateway Metalgrass has teamed up with Clickatell, a leading SMS gateway provider, to enable SMS alerts in AdSenseLog.
However, sending SMS messages is not free. In order to be able to use this feature, you are required to open an account in Clickatell, and purchase SMS credits.
The process is fast, easy and secure. Just follow this link to begin. Click on 'Register Now', and follow the instructions. You'll receive your own user & password when you finish.
After the registration, you'll have to create your own HTTP API ID, which is easy. Just enter a name for the API (Such as 'AdSenseLog'), and you'll get your ID (And 10 free SMS credits!).
You'll have to insert all those values into the fields in this screen.
You also have to choose the phone number to send the message to (Put the full international number, without + or 0 at the beginning).

Proxy

AdSense preferences: Proxy section

Proxy configuration: If you are behind a proxy, you will need to enter the proxy configuration here. If you are not sure whether you are behind a proxy or not, leave "Yes, I'm behind a proxy" unchecked.

You will often find the HTTP proxy values for your network in Internet Explorer | Tools | Internet Options... | Connections | LAN settings. You might want to consult your network administrator for this information.
